Frequently asked
My pricking photo doesn't line up with the hole grid
Open the pricking's "Trace holes" option and tap each hole in working order instead of using the automatic grid — a hand‑pricked card is rarely perfectly square, and tracing gives the most accurate next‑pin marker.
The camera button does nothing
Kantkussen asks for camera access the first time you tap it. If you previously declined, open iOS Settings → Kantkussen and turn Camera on, or choose a photo from your library instead — no permission is needed for that.
Can I recover a project I deleted?
Projects, prickings, pairs and sessions are stored only on your device, so a deleted project can't be restored unless you have a Time Machine or iCloud device backup that includes it. There is no server copy.
Why doesn't the lace evening reminder fire?
Check that notifications are allowed in iOS Settings → Kantkussen, and that the reminder toggle in the app's Settings screen is switched on. The app only asks for notification permission once you turn that reminder on.
Does Kantkussen sell patterns or prickings?
No. Kantkussen is a pillow book for prickings you already own — it does not sell, catalogue or link to any pattern shop.
Does the app work without an internet connection?
Yes. Kantkussen works fully offline; everything you enter stays on your device.
